1. Design and Display

Design

The iPhone 16 Pro series maintains Apple’s signature elegance. A stainless steel frame encases the device, while the ceramic back adds a touch of luxury. The minimal bezels create a seamless, uninterrupted look.

The iPhone 16 range will feature an all-new capacitive Capture button with force-sensor technology. This button is expected to be present on both the base model iPhone 16 and the larger iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. It will be located on the right side of the device, below the power button. As a result, the mmWave cutout (used for 5G connectivity) has been moved to the opposite side.

Display

Both models feature Super Retina XDR displays with ProMotion technology. The adaptive 120Hz refresh rate ensures smooth animations, responsive touch interactions, and an immersive viewing experience. The iPhone 16 Pro boasts a 6.1-inch display, while the Pro Max takes it up a notch with a larger 6.7-inch screen.

Screen Size: While the base model iPhone 16 will maintain the same 6.1-inch display size as the iPhone 15, both Pro models will receive an increase of roughly 0.2 inches in overall display size. The iPhone 16 Pro is rumored to have a 6.3-inch screen, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max will grow to 6.9 inches. These changes aim to reduce bezels and bring the iPhone closer to an all-screen design.

2. Performance

A15 Bionic Chip

At the heart of these iPhones lies the powerful A15 Bionic chip. Its six-core CPU and five-core GPU deliver lightning-fast performance, making multitasking, gaming, and content creation a breeze. Whether you’re editing videos or running resource-intensive apps, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max handle it effortlessly.

3. Camera System

Triple-Lens Setup

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the upgraded camera system. The iPhone 16 Pro features a triple-lens setup:

  • Wide Lens: Capture stunning photos with the wide lens, which excels in various lighting conditions.
  • Ultra-Wide Lens: Expand your perspective with the ultra-wide lens, perfect for landscapes and group shots.
  • Telephoto Lens: Zoom in without compromising image quality using the telephoto lens.

Photography Enhancements

  • Night Mode: Night mode now works across all lenses, ensuring clear and detailed shots even in low-light environments.
  • Smart HDR 4: This advanced HDR technology intelligently balances highlights and shadows, resulting in beautifully exposed photos.
  • ProRAW and ProRes: Professionals can shoot in ProRAW format for maximum editing flexibility or record videos in ProRes for cinematic quality.

4. Battery Life

Battery Improvements

Both models offer impressive endurance. The iPhone 16 Pro provides up to 22 hours of talk time, while the Pro Max extends that to 24 hours. Whether you’re streaming content, browsing, or working, the battery won’t let you down.

5. Connectivity

5G

Embrace the future with 5G connectivity. Download large files in seconds, stream high-quality videos, and enjoy lag-free online gaming. The iPhone 16 Pro series supports both sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G bands.

6. Privacy Features

Private Relay

Apple’s commitment to privacy continues with Private Relay. This feature encrypts your internet traffic and routes it through two separate servers, enhancing your online privacy and security.

7. Software

iOS 16

Out of the box, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max run iOS 16. Explore redesigned widgets, fine-tuned privacy controls, and productivity enhancements. The intuitive interface ensures a seamless user experience.
